Bannerghatta Nature Camp: an Ideal Getaway Close to Bangalore

Bangalore city is surrounded by natural beauty that has remained untouched for thousands of years. Once such place that stands out is the Bannerghatta National Park, which is located just about 25 kilometers from the city. Set in a 25,000-acre of lush greenery, the Park is an ideal weekend getaway destination. Once inside, you would find yourself completely cutoff from the hustle of the city – a welcome change if you are in search of serenity amidst wilderness.

Bannerghatta offers you ample avenues for exploration and allows you to experience the true weather of Bangalore that once it was famous for. The place has something for every one from the toddler in your family to the spiritually inclined grandparent. Bannerghatta Natural Camp is one place that brings you the most modern amenities in the heart of undisturbed nature – a unique combination you will hardly find anywhere else in the city.

Wildlife: Surround Yourself with Wildlife Over the Weekend

A part of Bannerghatta National Park has been converted into a natural rescue and rehabilitation habitat for wild animals that have been found in tragic circumstances in wildlife reserves in the Karnataka and beyond. Barricaded in high fences with ample space for the wild animals, the premise is ideal for a wildlife safari. The animals are maintained by the Karnataka Forest Department and the safari gives you a sense of encountering these otherwise dangerous animals in the wild, which can be quite breathtaking.

If you are desirous of unhindered exploration, you can venture into the Bannerghatta forest through our expert supervision. You will find herds of elephants going about their business completely ignoring your presence, which can be quite an experience. You will also encounter animals like spotted deer, bonnet macaques, barking deer, wild boars, jackals and many more. Bannerghatta also prides itself for being home to over 200 species of exotic birds. This natural boutique of wildlife offers great opportunities for photography enthusiasts. You will find something unique at every step of your short vacation in the area..

Activities: It’s Activities Galore for Everyone in Bannerghatta National Park

The amazing ‘Grand Safari’ is just one among the many activities at your disposal in Bannerghatta. You can also embark on a natural trek in the wilderness. You will find the young ones of your family jumping with joy as they discover the bountifulness of nature firsthand throughout the trek. You are sure to enjoy watching your kids unravel the mysteries of nature. The place is also rich with several landmarks to keep the explorer in you engaged.

Season

If you are in search of some peace and tranquility, the ‘view point’ is the right place, which will get you in touch with your inner self. Nature will never play ‘spoilt sport’ on your visit to Bannerghatta. However, if you love surrounding yourself with greenery, nothing can match the rainy season between mid-June and August. The temperature in the area is generally pleasant year round and fluctuates between 15 degree Celsius and 28 degree Celsius.

STAY & FOOD Was really good. It was maintained really well with good service and co-operation from the staffs but the numbers of accommodations are less. Probably we would return in next few months to experience much better with long duration of stay and find more luxurious stay next time.
