Summary

Say ‘Hello’ to the feisty River Sharavathi!

The majestic Sahyadri mountain ranges are sure to leave you spellbound! River Sharavathi, which originates and flows entirely within the state of Karnataka in India, flows through only two districts — Shimoga and Uttara Kannada — before joining the Arabian Sea. Teeming with natural beauty, Sharavathi Adventure Camp, with its verdant valleys, gushing rivers, and a dense forest cover, is a treasure trove of rare flora and fauna.

Become One with Nature at the Sharavathi Wildlife Sanctuary

The Sharavathi Adventure Camp is a haven for those seeking peace and tranquillity by virtue of its ideal location to experience the quintessential magic of the monsoons. During nature walks, amidst bird songs, you get to savour the pristine calm of the wilderness.

Witness Nature in All Its Glory at Sharavathi Adventure Camp Special Cottage

Located at less than 6 KM from the famous Jog Falls, Sharavathi Adventure Camp combines the magnificence of the plush mountains with a dash of adventure. Tucked away on the slopes of a hillock skirting the Talakalale Reservoir, this resort is a great place to be in awe of Mother Nature. The River Sharavathi plummets from a dizzying height of 830 feet, creating the Jog Falls, one of India’s tallest waterfalls. The rainy season is the best time to view Jog Falls when it gushes down as four distinct cascades – Raja, Rani, Rocket, and Roarer.

Accommodation Options for your Ultimate Comfort

The Sharavathi Adventure camp has twenty spacious and comfortable cottages. The cottages are climate-proof, with tiled roofs and an intelligently designed two-walled interior – an inner brick wall with an outer laterite stone wall helps regulate the temperature of the interiors to keep them warm and cosy. All the cottages overlook the Talakalale Reservoir and offer beautiful vistas.

Spacious cottages ensure you have a comfortable stay in the wilderness. All the cottages overlook the Talakalale Balancing Reservoir and offer beautiful vistas of the islands that dot the reservoir. Of course, all your comforts are taken care of.

Pamper Your Taste Buds with Eclectic Cuisine

The Sharavathi Adventure Camp offers a delectable buffet of primarily Sothern Indian food for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Our skilled culinary experts are always willing to tickle your taste buds anytime as per your preferences with customization options.
